Rachel Moreno's musical journey began at the age of three, nurtured by the guidance and encouragement of her parents, Richard and Fleur Miller. Trained in the Suzuki Method, she quickly excelled, showcasing her talent with a solo performance alongside the Denver Symphony Chamber Orchestra at just ten years old. During her teenage years, Rachel participated in the Front Range Youth Symphony and began exploring writing and improvisation. She also played the violin in a rock band with her high school friends. Around this time, she discovered she had perfect pitch and started playing on worship teams at church.
After high school, Rachel attended Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas from 1998 to 2001. There, she traveled with worship teams and earned her Diploma in Practical Theology and a Leadership Certificate in Worship and the Arts. It was also at Christ for the Nations that she met her future husband, Ben. Continuing her education at TCU from 2001 to 2005, Rachel earned a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and married her best friend, Ben Moreno, in 2004. While finishing her degree, she began teaching private violin lessons. After graduation, she expanded her teaching repertoire to include music and movement classes for children, utilizing her ballet and modern dance training from the Arvada Center for the Performing Arts in Denver and TCU.
As Ben and Rachel started their family, Ben served as the Worship Leader at Valley Creek Church in Flower Mound, TX. Rachel also worked at Valley Creek in the Worship Department, where she believes her most significant contribution was helping to lay the foundation for the heart of worship. In 2017, Rachel began teaching music at Founders Classical Academy of Flower Mound. She taught all grades from second to twelfth and was instrumental in building the music program, teaching general music, music theory, music history, strings, philharmonic, symphony orchestra, ukulele, and choir. After seven years at Founders, she decided to narrow her focus and establish her private music studio in 2024. With over 20 years of experience in teaching and leading, Rachel finds joy in helping others reach their full potential as musicians while encouraging them to become who God created them to be.
